Antique Mid 19th Century Superb Bronze Skinned Plaque on Oak of the 'Calmady Children' by the noted Bronze Sculptor 'Edward William Wyon' after an original earlier 19th Century Oil Painting by Sir Thomas Lawrence.

In Superb Condition the three dimensional plaque features the Calmady Children 'Emily' and 'Laura Anne' within a turned stepped halo gallery which is inscribed with the legends "Sir T. Lawrence Dest." and "E. W Wyon Sculpt 1st June 1848".
The Bronze is hollow cast and mounted on a purpose built oak board with original lug to the reverse still present so as to serve for when hanging from a wall.
The Plaque measures 21.3 cm in diameter and has a maximum depth of roughly 4 cm, there are no damages or repairs to the plaque, it being in well preserved condition for age with the bronze having a lovely aged patina.
