Vintage circa 1930 Lovely Quality Souvenir Trinket Box, this being a Latter Day Grand Tour Collectible from India, hand manufactured in Slate and decorated to the lid with a superbly cut Mother of Pearl Representation of the Famous Mausoleum, The Taj Mahala in Agra, India, the Taj Mahal being hand detailed with black enamels so as to bring to life the details of the Mausoleum including brick work, carvings and the finishing four enclosing Minarets.
The Box is in well preserved condition showing only mild age related wear from handling, being without cracks, chips or damages, A Lovely Period box that will serve for a variety of uses including the storing of trinkets, this being with certainty a much better example than other taj mahal tourist boxes of the 20th Century.
The box with lid in place measures 10.3 cm x 7.5 cm x 4.7 cm in dimension or 4.25 inches x 2.9 inches x 1.8 inches.
