Antique High Victorian period circa 1870 Rare example of a Surviving Union Photo Frame in very good and intact with original bevelled glass dust covers to each of the photograph mounts, featuring an ornate silver washed metal frame detailed with Baroque floral overtones including scrolled leg supports and cartouche mounts to the crown of each photograph mount to the frame, the reverse of the frame features a hinged easel type leg support and retaining arms to keep the installed photographs securely within each mount, also present are hinged lug fittings to the top of each frame so as to serve for when hanging the frame from a wall if desired.
In Very good Antique condition the frame is complete with original duo of Photographer Studio Cabinet Cards, each featuring the portrait image of a lady, no doubt in this case a mother and Daughter.
The Frame measures 16 cm x 14.5 cm, each cabinet card photograph (for sizing purposes) measures 10 cm x 5.5 cm.
Makes for a fabulous Antique Decorators piece for the home, still being perfectly useable.
