Antique Edwardian Period Superb Example of a Novelty Pin Cushion featured as a three dimensional Figure of a Fledgling Chick sitting in its own Egg from where it hatched, the back of the Chick features the original padded and fitted velvet cushion for storing ones pins and the silver construction to the pin cushion is without dings, splits, holes, damages or repairs making this to be in original condition more or less.
The Chick stands 3.5 cm tall and has a width and length of 2.3 cm and 3.3 cm respectively, the underside to the foot of the pin cushion is impressed with markings indicating Chester Assay office circa 1907 with the makers mark for Sampson Mordan & Co of Regent Street, London, also present is the impressed Rd mark relevant to the year of manufacture.
