Antique Late Victorian period Sterling Silver Mounted Cut and reeded Glass Vanity pot suitable for Powder and a puff or indeed trinkets or otherwise,
In Very Good Condition the Silver lid to the pot is heavily chase detailed with a floral theme and finished with a central cartouche engraved with a Crest image in the form of Tiger holding a broken Spear in its jaws.
The Silver Lid is impressed with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1888 with the makers mark for the Army & Navy Cooperative Society, also present is the duty mark for Queen Victoria.
The pot measures 8.5 cm in diameter with a depth of 3.5 cm and has a lovely aged patina to the silver but could be cleaned to a high shine if desired, a handsome antique piece ready for use at any dressing table setting.
