Antique Early Victorian period Top Quality Sterling Silver Lidded Table Mustard Pot in superb condition complete with original Bristol Glass liner similarly in superb condition, boasting a heavily pierced scrolled foliate design to the body revealing the blue liner as a piquet finish and a two tone balance, applied handle with wheat sheaf sprout and a turned flat top lid with mounted thumb catch.
The Mustard pot is presented with an earlier Fiddle pattern large mustard spoon crest engraved to the handle with the image of a Gryphon head.
The Mustard stands 6 cm tall to the lid top and has a base diameter of 6.8 cm, the mustard spoon measures 10.7 cm in length with a  bowl dimension of 2.7 cm x 2.3 cm x 7 mm in dimension.
The Mustard is impressed with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1842 with the makers mark for William Chawner II, also present is the duty mark for Queen Victoria, the Mustard spoon is similarly impressed with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1837 with the makers mark for H. j Lias & Son, also present is the last year duty mark for William IV.
