Antique Edwardian Period Sterling Silver Fronted Small Sized book of Common Prayer finished in Leather binding, a dainty piece with the silver front being embossed with the Classic 'Heads Of Angels' by the earlier Noted Artist Joshua Reynolds c1723 - c 1792.

Printed in Oxford, England the book retains all pages, shows some wear to the binding but is otherwise quite acceptable for 120 years of age and when closed shut it measures 5.5 cm x 4.7 cm x 1.5 cm in dimension, the silver front to the prayer book is impressed with good clear markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1905 with the makers mark for Charles Penny Brown.

Interestingly the book holds provenance to the first two pages in the form of hand written legends indicating the book to have been a gift in the year circa 1905 and then again in circa 1945.
