Antique Edwardian period Lovely Quality Desk Ink Well in Mouth Blown Glass mounted with a Sterling silver Collar and Hinged flip lid, after a Fly-Catcher design finished with a dimple pattern body and quad set roundel feet the Ink Well is in Very good used condition and is without cracks, chips or damages to the glass, the Silver lid is similarly in well preserved condition with only light age related wear present and features a Vacant reeded Jubilee and Wheat Sheaf framed cartouche to the top.

The Inkwell is impressed to the collar with good clear markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1906 along with the makers mark for S Blanckensee & Son Ltd of Frederick Street, Birmingham.

The Ink well, with lid closed shut stands 7.5 cm tall or 3 inches and has a diameter a the base of 9.8 cm or 3.85 inches.

The Inkwell weighs 350 grams or 12.34 Ounces.

It makes for a Superb Antique Collectible Ink Well and is still Perfectly useable, just add the Writing Ink of your choice.
