Antique Early 19th Century Rare Sterling Silver Old English Pattern Table Spoon of the London Assay office in very Good Condition for age, there being no splits, dings or repairs and only mild signs of physical wear from handling throughout the years, The spoon is chased to the stem with a bright cut pattern and engraved to the handle terminal with a set of monogram initials within a shield type cartouche with separate floral detail to the closed terminal,  the reverse to the spoon is impressed with good clear markings indicating London Assay office circa 1797 with the makers mark for Solomon Houghan, Also present is the Duty Mark for King George III.

The spoon measures 22.3 cm cm in length or 8.7 inches and weighs 64.1 grams or just over 2 ounces troy.
A Handsome Example of the period, very much useable and in original condition more or less.
