Antique Early 19th Century Superb Gouache miniature painting of that of a Young Girl in traditional dress at a Smiths Forge, holding a hammer in one hand about to strike an iron on an anvil the girl sits within the forge with hearth and brick oven to her right with an open door within a wooden building behind her.
Realised in the Romantic style the painting retains a rich palette and is glazed and framed in gesso with lovers knot crown.
Overall in good condition, there being some wear to the frame but overall very acceptable, the painting appears to be an unsigned piece, removal from the frame may reveal otherwise.
The painting in frame measures 8.4 cm x 7.8 cm and dates to around circa 1820.
