Antique 19th Century Superb Pair of Turkoman Silver and Carnelian Studded Cuff Bracers or Cuff bangles in very good condition for age, artisan crafted these matching pair of cuffs would likely have been a wedding piece or court piece of jewellery and are in well preserved condition, beautifully decorated with floral patterns to the outer shanks in gold which encloses the carnelian hardstones each of which are socket set within beaded galleries totalling 16 carnelian hard stones per cuff, there is one crack to one carnelian to one cuff, the items are otherwise in original but used condition with the silver having a lovely aged patina.

The Cuffs each measure 11 cm in length and taper in shape so as to accommodate a forearm down to the wrist, the wrist opening has a dimension of 6.3 cm x 5.2 cm with the forearm opening measuring 7.5 cm x 6 cm.
These are of a heavy gauge silver and show signs of hand manufacture throughout especially to the inner shank of each including hand hammered marks.
A Fantastic pair of cuffs, museum quality pieces still wearable and a fine addition to any curio cabinet display as well as jewellery box.
