Antique Latter 18th century Rare matched pair of pre duty mark Three Footed Table Salts in the Cauldron style, featuring convex bodies each salt boasts a pie crusted lip and a tricorn affair of Flambet shouldered, hoofed terminal sabre pattern legs, the underside to each salt is verbatim impressed with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1780 with the makers mark for Charles Hougham (Brother to the noted smith Solomon Hougham), also present are original ownership/household inscriptions as way of provenance in the form of  the legend "IEWT - 1780".
Each table salt has a diameter of approximately 6.3 cm and stands 3.8 cm tall. both in well preserved, original condition more or less.
