Vintage Top Quality Sterling Silver Ashtray by the excellent Mappin & Webb, this being a well preserved piece featuring a 'Crux' pattern of four cigarette rests to a squared body finished with an engine turned pattern to the flat topped lip.
The ashtray is without dings, damages or repairs, it being in original condition more or less.
The ashtray measures 8 cm x 8 cm and is impressed to the underside with good clear markings indicating Sheffield assay office circa 1935 with the makers mark for Mappin & Webb of Norfolk Street, Sheffield, also present is the Jubilee duty mark for King George V.
