Antique / Early Vintage Circa 1920's Lovely Quality hand made bronze Pair Case for A Pocket Watch, No Doubt an Miners or heavy Industry Workers piece, made purely to keep their pocket watch safe whilst at hard labour, the watch case features as a traditional pair case and boasts a thick, pressed and bevel cut glass crystal to the window of the case to allow one to read the time.
The Pair case comprises of two halves, a screw top bezel and main housing to install ones pocket watch, the top of the case accommodating the installed pocket watch stem, suspension bale and crown with opening to the case top allowing ones lanyard, Watch chain or otherwise accessible for securing to ones person.
In Good Condition for age, small bruise to the bevelled glass viewing window nothing serious.
Weighing in at 89 Grams or 3.1 Ounces The pair Case when assembled measures 8.5 cm x 6 cm x 3 cm in dimension or 3.4 x 2.25 x 0.7 inches in dimension with an interior case diameter to fit a pocket watch of 5.5 cm or 2.2 inches.
Still very much useable, this Old Pair case watch would have seen some action in its long life and still has many more years left in it, as with all things that are old, they were built to last and you only even needed one.
