Antique Early 19th Century Latter day Georgian period Lovely Quality hand painted portrait miniature in Gouache featuring the image of a mature lady in traditional lace dress with ringlets in her hair wearing a bonnet and heavy gauge double strung link necklace, in well preserved condition the painting is mounted in original Oval shaped ebonised wooden frame with glaze intact as well as back board to the reverse and provisional stringing so as to serve for when hanging from a wall.
There are signs of age related wear to the frame as to be expected but the painting is without damages, foxing or sepia and the glaze is undamaged.
The frame measures13.5 cm x 11.7 cm x 3 cm in dimension with the miniature window having an aperture of roughly 7.3 cm x 6.2 cm.
The painting appears to be an unsigned piece, removal from frame may reveal more.
