£325.00
A striking Victorian mourning ring crafted in 15k gold and hallmarked in Chester, 1894. This poignant piece features a delicate diamond set against rich black enamel work, characteristic of the sentimental jewellery worn during the Victorian era as a tribute to loved ones. The seed pearls on the border are all missing except 1, some minor pitting the enamel please see the pictures. In the past the rear band would have contained mourning hair, this is now missing, there is a tiny split in the hair framing to the rear, again please see the pictures. The gold hallmark can be seen to the inside of the band. A beautiful example of Victorian mourning jewellery with authentic period hallmarks and excellent condition.
