Antique Late 19th Century Lovely Example of a Moon Phase Calendar pocket watch in Swiss Silver (935 grade), featuring a crown wound and pin set mechanical movement the pocket watch boasts a four finger split quarter plate 7 jewelled gilded palette with steel regulator and is finished with a Swiss Lever escapement and weighted, compensated balance.
In Good running order, the watch taking a full wind without issue and the hands responding correctly when setting the watch dial to keep time, moon phase, day, date and month.
In Overall good condition but showing signs of age related wear commensurate with handling throughout the years including a few faint hairlines to the enamel dial and some dings to the silver case which has a turned pattern back with central set buckled shield cartouche vacant of engraving, the inner back plate to the watch case and cuvette are marked for Swiss Silver 935 grade with the suspension bale being similarly marked along with the case makers mark 'AD'.
The watch when laid flat including suspension bale measures7 cm x 4.8 cm x 1.5 cm in dimension making it for an impressive pocket watch ready to be worn although may benefit from servicing for utmost accuracy.
The watch dates to around circa 1890.
