Antique Great War Era Sterling Silver Anchor Brooch with the Mizpah Theme, this being a Sweetheart piece, the Anchor, representing faith being mounted with the cut legend for 'Mizpah' in rose gold.
In Good condition the brooch is without damage and retain pin and clasp fitting to the reverse where impressed markings are present indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1914 with the makers mark for R.J Wakefield of Tenby Street, Birmingham.
The Brooch measures 3.2 cm x 2 cm, has a lovely aged patina but could be cleaned to a high shine if desired.
