Antique Late 18th Century Lovely Quality One Piece crafted Tea Caddy Spoon in Sterling Silver featuring a Repousse Scalloped Bowl and ornately chased handle including a bright cut stem and Shield Cartouche to the terminal engraved with a set of Monogram initials in a scrolled font featuring the letters 'ECS', a tactile piece and in well preserved condition, being without damage, dings or repairs it measures 9.3 cm in length or 3.6 inches and is impressed to the reverse of the handle terminal with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1791 with the makers mark for John Phipps I, also present is the Duty Mark for King George III.
A Pleasing Example of the period, becoming more rare with each passing year it makes for a fabulous collectible piece and still perfectly useable.
