Antique Late Georgian Period circa 1810 Artisan Jeweller Crafted Budded 'Croix' Cross Brooch in 9ct Rose Gold finished with Almandine Garnets and Pearls.
A Gorgeous piece of Fine Dress Jewellery featuring a large central set facet cut Almandine Roundel within a halo gallery of Split Pearls with the four points to the centre being mounted with a pillow cut Almandine garnet budded with a trio of Split pear terminals completing the 'Croix' or cross.
The Brooch is foil backed to the gem setting as popular during the period and finished to the reverse in solid gold with original hinged pin and clasp present in perfect working order.
A Fine Example of the period and in very good condition throughout with only light age related wear present, measuring 3.1 cm x 3.1 cm or 1.2 by 1.2 inches it makes for an impressive and very eye catching piece ready to be worn.
Although unmarked the brooch is tested to at least 9ct gold.
