Antique Edwardian period French Manufactured Souvenir Trinket or Jewel Box in the Casket style manufactured in gilded tin and set with heavy cut and bevelled pressed glass panes as viewing windows to the body and to the lid with a coloured enamel painted photo lithograph of a view of the Franco British Exhibition in the year circa 1908 which was held in West London Just Outside of Sherpherd's Bush (now called white city).
Commemorating the signing of the 'Entente Cordiale' during the year circa 1904 this fabulous trinket box would have been sold as a souvenir piece in western France during the period to the Visiting English.
In Good condition the box features Rococo Overtones including foliate details and stylised Cabriole legs, the box lid is hinged and is intact with clasp fitting to the lip on one side, the interior to the box retains original, albeit age worn button back padded velvet cushion for displaying a prized trinket or jewel.
A lovely period collectible trinket box measuring 6.7 x 7.7 x 5 cm in dimension or 2.6 x 3 x 1.9 inches in dimension.
