Antique Late Victorian period circa 1880 Lovely Quality, Large Sized Grecian Style Ewer in Artisan Brazier Crafted Copper, a Tall standing piece at 40 cm tall or 15.7 inches with a width from handle to to body edge of 22 cm or 8.7 inches the Ewer boasts a classic hand hammered finish to the body with a gallery of roundel studs to the shoulder and is mounted with a fantastic arched handle detailed with impressed flowers to the outer shank, the spout to the ewer is beaked with a scrolled lip.
In Very good condition for age the Ewer shows wonderful signs of hand manufacture throughout adding to the overall character of this fine piece, Lovely Aged patina to the copper and ready to be used as desired, would originally have served for adding bath water (or similar) but would make for a wonderful display piece for dried flowers or perhaps Peacock Feathers within the home.
