Antique Latter Victorian Period Lovely Quality Sterling Silver Mug in the traditional Tankard style chase detailed to the body with an open gallery wrap of Flora including herb sprigs to a central set oval cartouche vacant of engraving, the lip to the mug features recess band to the body and foot to the mug is finished with a beaded gallery.
The Mug would have been a wedding or anniversary gift during the period, used at a table setting later on for Chutney or similar on special occasions.
The Mug stands 7.3 cm tall or 2.9 inches with a diameter at the foot of 6.1 cm or 2.4 inches, the shoulder to the mug flush to the handle feature is impressed with good clear markings indicating Sheffield assay office circa 1879 with the makers mark for Roberts & Belk of Furnival Works, Sheffield, also present is the Duty Mark For Queen Victoria.
A Fine Example of the period and in Excellent condition throughout, there being no dings, damages or repairs to the piece, it being in original condition more or less, 

weight : 102.1 grams or just over 3.28 ounces troy.
