Antique Early Victorian period Top Quality table Salt in the Three Footed, Squat, convex walled Cauldron Style finished with a wonderful repousse gallery of floral work to the body including Sunflowers and Chrysanthemums, the trio of feet boast scalloped shoulders and terminating with stylised hooves with the rim to the mouth of the salt being detailed with a perpetual gallery of flower petals.

In Very good condition for age, there being no dings, damage or repairs the salt stands 4.5 cm tall or 1.7 inches with a maximum diameter to the body of 8 cm or 3.1 inches, the underside to the salt is impressed with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1856 with the makers mark for Daniel & Charles Houle, also present is the duty mark for Queen Victoria.
