Antique Late Victorian Period circa 1900 Arts & Crafts Letter Opener come page turner in Carved Elmwood after the Black Forest style featuring the figure of an Owl perched upon a tree branch as the handle, one piece carved the terminal to the letter opener is engraved and detailed with a scrolled floral design and finished with mild poker burns so as to yield a delightful cognac and blonde colour.
In Very good condition the letter opener shows light wear to the shank from use but is otherwise undamaged and the owl retains original glass eyes.
The Letter opener measures 31 cm in length with a shank width of roughly 3.5 cm.
