Antique circa 1910 Very Art Nouveau over-toned Good Quality Cast Brass Door Knocker featured as a ornate door plate escutcheon with scrolled shoulders and proud terminals mounted with a hinged, arched and pierced floral branch as the striker with orchid terminal to meet the striking plate which is a beaded roundel affair.
Overall good condition, no cracks or damages and with the brass boasting a lovely, dark and aged weathered patina but could be cleaned to a high shine if desired.
The Knocker plate is intact to the reverse with original threaded bolt fittings with accompanying nuts so as to serve for when securing to a desired door, the knocker in its entirety measures 26 cm x 8.3 cm with a depth of 6 cm or 10 x 3.6 x 2.3 inches, the fitted bolts to the reverse have an approximate length of 6.5 cm or 2.5 inches.
A Handsome example of the period, one that will adorn any door beautifully.
