Antique Lovely Quality Sterling Silver Bowl of a good size manufactured in the traditional single footed style, in very good condition the bowl is repousse worked to the body and the foot with with a perpetual pattern of Swag conjoined with Lovers Knot style bows, the body accented to the lower bowl with a spiral flute pattern and finished with a central set roundel cartouche vacant of engraving.
The Bowl is without damages or repairs, only shows mild age related wear from handling and will benefit from a clean and polish but is otherwise in original condition more or less, the bowl stands 9.3 cm tall and has a diameter at the rim of 15 cm and is impressed with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1925 with the makers mark for Mappin & Webb, this piece being from the works at Oxford Street, London, the underside to the foot of the bowl also features the namesake for Mappin & Webb.
A Handsome piece, 100 years old this year, will serve for a variety of uses.
