Antique Early 19th Century Top Quality Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Spoon in the Fiddle Pattern finished with a Shelled handle terminal and floral chased bowl, the handle being detailed with a set of monogram initials featuring the letters 'J H' in a scrolled font, this fine caddy spoon is a one piece artisan crafted affair and in excellent condition for age, there being no damages or repairs complete with good clear impressed markings to the reverse of the handle stem indicating London assay office circa 1825 with the makers mark for George Whittle, also present is the Duty Mark for King George III.
The Spoon measures 9 cm in length and has a bowl dimension of 4.3 cm x 3.5 cm x 1.2 cm
A fantastic example of the period, still very much useable, a perfect gift for the leaf tea lover.
