Charming detailing of a rampant lion to the one corner this is a great antique solid cast sterling silver candlestick dating from the Georgian period by the maker Edward Wakelin. The silver is marked with a silver lion to the top, with the makers mark and English hallmark being found to the base, the hallmark can be seen to the inside of the lip London assay with the date letter for the year 1756, see the photo of the markers mark for Edward Wakelin. In wonderful condition please see the pictures.
