Antique Early / Mid Victorian period Top Quality Wine Tasting Scoop featured as a Repousse worked Clam Shell finished with a scrolled finger grip handle adorned with a Bacchus over-toned theme in the form of a sprig of grapes and a grape leaf.
In Superb Condition throughout, there being no dings, damages, repairs or otherwise, the item being in original condition more or less.
Measuring 7.5 cm in length with a bowl dimension of 5.2 cm x 5 cm x 1 cm in dimension the floor of the bowl is impressed with good clear markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1862 with the makers mark for the Excellent George Unite of Caroline Street, Birmingham, also present is the Duty mark for Queen Victoria.
A Splendid example of the period, would also serve well as a tea caddy spoon.
