Antique Early 19th Century Georgian period Sterling Silver Mustard Spoon in the Old English pattern, manufactured by the noted Peter and William Bateman the spoon features a superbly engraved crest image to the handle terminal of that of a Folly or a Tower with flag flying, measuring 11 cm in length the spoon shows very mild age related wear but no holes, dings or damages and no repairs, the reverse to the stem of the spoon is impressed with markings indicating London assay office circa 1811 with the makers mark for Peter and William Bateman, also present is the duty mark for King George III.

A Good example of the period, flatware bearing the makers mark for Bateman also being highly sought after.
