Antique Mid 18th Century Rare pair of Sugar Nips in the traditional style manufactured in Sterling Silver, a pre duty mark affair featuring budded inner shanks with turned terminals and shelled bowls the centre frame to the sugar nips is in engraved to one side with the crest image of a Lion Holding a Clam shell in its clawed paws.
The Sugar Nips when closed shut measure 11 cm in length, retain a smooth movement when used and are marked to the handle grips for London assay office date cycle c1756 - c1775.
The Nips are in undamaged condition manufactured in the Early Reign of King George III.
