Antique High Victorian Period Top Quality Silver and Gold Plated Table Bucket featuring a duo of superb silver plated Cartouches to the body featuring the three dimensional image of a Centaur with Drawn Bow in mid Gallop, the bucket is finished with a God Head cartouche hinged and arched handle and a plaited foliate lipped foot.
In Good clean condition throughout save for aged patination the bucket is without dings or damages and is clearly marked to the underside of the foot for Elkington & Co with date letter 'P' indicating year of manufacture to be circa 1876.
The Bucket, with carry handle in a flat state stands 9 cm tall and has a diameter at the brim of 11.7 cm.
Very Pagan in design the bucket would have likely served as a table centre piece for sweet meats or similar but will serve for a variety of uses as well as being highly decorative.
