Antique Late 19th century Top Quality French Manufactured ladies Chatelain Coin Purse in the traditional style, featuring a beautifully detailed frame with hinged movement and dual wishbone ball finial clasp in good order the chain mesh bag to the purse is intact with all rings present, one side to the purse frame is mounted with a rung bale so as to serve for when wearing the purse as a chatelaine item about the person, the lug to the bale being impressed with the makers mark 'AGS'.
The Purse when laid flat measures 6 cm x 6.5 cm, has a lovely aged patination to the silver but could be cleaned to a high shine if desired, a fine example of the period being in original condition more or less.
