Antique High Victorian Period Lovely Quality Suite of Silver Plated Tools including a duo of Nut Crackers, a Pair of Grape Scissors and a duo of Berry Spoons all in excellent condition presented in original fitted leather box with retailers namesake to the inside lid for 'Hogg & Shaw' of Manchester.
Each piece within the set is in well preserved, undamaged condition, of an ornate matching design and pattern finished with foliate details including a patent mark to the nutcrackers, and verbatim makers marks to the grape scissors and berry spoons indicating Martin Hall & Co of Sheffield, also present is the Rd mark indicating manufacture in the year circa 1879 June 18th.
The Fitted Box for the set shows age related wear to the exterior including a compromised clasp but is still quite acceptable, as noted the suite of items are in undamaged condition, just in need of a gentle clean and polish to shine again.
The Berry spoons measure 22 cm in length, the grape scissors measure 18 cm in length and the nutcrackers measure 14.5 cm in length.
