Antique Late Victorian period circa 1890 Lovely Quality Hand Made Apprentice piece Miniature Chest of Drawers in Mahogany, in the traditional style this lovely example would also have served as a travellers sample, made by a carpenters apprentice and then taken out in a cart with other items and shown to prospective buyers at households, offering the service of items being made in full size as per the miniature.
The Chest features a trio of drawers, each with double turned bun handles and quad set bun feet to the base of the chest, all drawers are dove tail joined including the side panels to the floor and where needed with wooden pegs.
The item is in very good antique condition and stands 29 cm tall with a base width and breadth of 29 cm and 17.5 cm respectively.
A lovely example of the period, one that will serve for a variety of uses including jewellery, curio or knick-knack drawer as well as making for a fine period decorators piece.
