Antique Top Quality Solid Silver Albert Pocket Watch Chain in the graduated Curb Link pattern complete with T-bar and dog clip fitting along with a Georgian period Solid silver Shilling Coin adapted so as to serve as a fob,
In Lovely condition for age the Albert watch chain measures roughly 39 cm or 15 inches in length and is ready to be worn.
Each link to the Albert chain is impressed with the Lion passant mark with the T-bar being impressed with markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1891 with the makers mark for Walter William Cashmore of Warstone Lane, Birmingham, the terminating dog clip to the chain is impressed with the Lion passant mark relevant for the period.
The accompanying coin is heavily rubbed from long handling, it having been a circulated piece and as noted adapted to serve as a fob item via way of a plaited rope mount to the edge of the coin, the coin fob bears the likeness of King George III and dates to circa 1806.
The T-bar to the watch chain measures 4 cm in width with the albert chain having a maximum width to the largest link of 8 mm.
A Fine English Antique Albert chain that will complete well with a pocket watch of choice watch and wear very well with a handsome waistcoat, would also wear well as an Albertine necklace or bracelet wrap.
