What is adularescence
Its the flash of blue white that is created when a cabochon stone such as a moonstone is angled across the plain of light causing the internal structure of the stone to flash.
Its was stones such as moonstone are so popular as effectively you get many stones for the cost of one.
Diamonds also have adularescence and will pop flash white sparkle back to the viewer but use the use of facetts or cuts to the stone to enhance this effect.
