St Patrick's Day 17th of March

St Patrick's Day 17th of March

Commemorating the death of St Patrick in the 5th century, falling in the middle of Lent where traditionally people give up certain things, a break form Lenten obligations were relaxed on this day.

Judging how America and Ireland celebrate this day, its a good job that Lent was relaxed for one day.

Its great that everyone get to have a great party day perhaps a shame that St George's day is not a bit more of a party, of course we tend to wear red roses but not aware of too much of a knees up.

We of course have a great selection of lucky four leaf clovers and traditional shamrocks on www.topbananaantiques.com too.
