Rene Lalique born 6th April 1860, a French jeweller and glass designer, who made some truly amazing jewellery mixture of gold, silver and opalescent glass, which gave a moon light like appearance or adularescence i.e. white cream with a hint of blue. However he didnt start making his famous glass items until he was 60 years old, in the 1920s, remarkable
He was a major contributor to the Art Nouveau movement with his embracing of the ladies with organic floral flowing lines.
