Generally antiques offer great value against their new equivalent. Also antiques are truly green in the fact that unlike a lot of goods in the UK, the majority of our goods are UK sourced and if not then from nearby Europe, hence little carbon footprint.

We recently did some plywood panelling in the shop for a picture gallery the wood alone cost £500 for approx 8 sheets and some studding crazy.

Most of our goods couldn't be produced for what we sell them for, china bowls for hyacinths at a fiver, mahogany tables at £75, oak settles solid wood at £95.

We sell fine antiques and pictures too, but even when a chest of drawers £1000 the work could be mirrored let alone the quality of the timber, not forgetting a lot of these items will have a residual value, continued longevity and use and some will work out to be good investments.

Of course too so much nicer to use and enjoy and look at. No wonder we are full and busy.
