Mary Gregory glass.
Made by the Boston and Sandwich glass factory in Mass.Usa. In the late 19th century, to as so often with mass produced items to mimic cameo glass, which is fine cutting through layers of glass whereas Mary Gregory glass is fired glass the enameled and re fired to make permanant as opposed to painting.
The Americans wehre very good at mass producing many item in this period such as mechanical items such as wathes , sewing machines, butter churns.
Much rolled gold and gold filled and costume jewllery, in partiuclar around the New York area such as Rhode island,where many manafactuers made by pressing metals to make the jewellery.
Of course now much of these items are collectors items in their own right.
