Lack of real antiques
Most antiques centres and most antique markets actually don't sell antiques, most sell antique looking stuff, new garden items covered in sea water to look the part.
Whilst of course 1970 is over 50 years ago now, and definitely has a place a vintage no one would call or want to call them antique.
Of course many people want a look or don't even want antiques they want vintage and style, but these things have no place in an antiques centre or antiques shop. Otherwise we all may as well sell the same warehouse stock with no individuality or class, let alone quality or uniqueness.
Top Banana Antiques is consistently striving to keep new and fake items out of the shop and if an item isn't very old we say so on the label.
