K.S.I.A. is not dyslexic Arts and Crafts
Keswick School of Industrial Arts, part of Arts and Crafts movement making hand planished metal wares from the 1890s.
The art of planishing was a skill in its own right hitting metal at opposing angles to create a hammered finish, and in the item pictured particularly difficult as stainless steel, and therefore very hard metal.
Named pieces in Arts and Crafts metal are always nice sometimes these come with makers names too, a while since we have had a double marked item.
Hard to fine bear in mind the arts and crafts period lasted less than 30 years so definitely a good subject to collect.
