Do you know antique buying is saving the planet one item at a time
We all enjoy recycling trying to grasp which P.E.T plastic bottle goes in which box, weather film can or cannot be recycled.
However with antiquing it actually can be so much more fun.
Antiques are generally made from good quality materials and most cannot be replicated for the resale cost today, literally every item saved is saving landfill and saving you money and making your home and indeed workplace individual and unique.
How often have you visited a hotel and been really impressed by the decor, pretty sure will only be the ones with antiques and vintage decorations, and that doesn't mean old dusty and unloved but up to the moment designer goods which antiques often are, and then the high street try's to replicate.
Guaranteed if you buy and antique piece of furniture you will at lest get some resale value, some you make a lot of money on, conversely guaranteed you buy a new item of furniture you'll never see either a return on your investment and most likely i fear will become landfill, dear old IKEA, offers cheap furniture but you wont move house with it you chuck it, and often so much antique furniture of solid hard wood can be brought for only a few pounds.
Antiques and up-cycling are fun and save energy and waste.
