Alphabet plates, transfer printed often with wise proverbs and sayings, in this case a child's teaching add a great thing to collect this plate c1840 to 1860.
Of course come in all colours and different letter but nearly always small and shaped.
Can go back as far as 18th century in tin glaze and really fund item to search out and collect and don't take up much space either.
