Collecting vintage & antique toys
Condition, condition, condition, whilst it lovely seeing worn & loved teddies, if buying for collecting its the unloved ones you want to look for i.e. one that have not been worn out, again with toy cars, a lot of people put store in having there boxes whilst nice the condition is important ideally not played with at all.
When toys are good they can make very big sums, and are avidly sort after, beware of price guides and the infamous ebay as these give you guides to prices only, each item has to be judged on its on merits.
As with all collecting best to aim for a theme such as dolls or teddies or toy cars, transport, tin plate or wooden etc.
