Collecting Clarice Cliff
Clarice cliff was the definitive designer at Newport pottery making her designs famous worldwide. Like all designers she had various themes like budgerigars, country garden, crocus, and one of her most famous was Bizarre pattern, these geometric bright red and black designs epitomised the 1930s.
Again as with all collecting if possible collect perfect unrestored items and generally the brighter more garish the items is the better it is, although all items have their merits.
We generally have few examples for sale in the shop and online, recently many items of Clarice have sold even to Austraila as generally our items are perceived to be great value even allowing for postage costs.
