Albertina
Obviously a female Albert.
Enough already, an Albert is a watch chain, a double Albert is a two strand watch chain designed to hang from a waistcoat. Watch in one pocket and fob or vesta case in an other.
Ladies also wanted to get in on the act as watches became more and more used, and of course ladies clothes lacked pockets. An Albertina always comes with a tassel are nearly always in silver, occasionally in gold. Tended to be finer and often with sliders and nearly always a charm or similar hanging off a chain. These started their popularity in 1860s. Often acting as a tiny chatelaine with a vesta case, etui, or nessessaire hanging from them.
Due to there length these days they make great bracelets and will fit even the most Amazonian well built 21st century girls. Whom like men are so much bigger than or Victorian forebears.
