2023 in summary looking forward to 2024 with enthusiasm
A difficult year for certain, however we have pushed on with improvements and adding better staff etc.
We ended our year with a bang, lovely happy atmosphere and busy, great to see regular clients and meet new ones.
Our manager has been a stalwart throughout the period and in fact the year, dealing with young new staff, who were ambitious to get on in the trade and I am sure will make very good dealers. We have replaced young enthusiasm with experience opting for a time served dealer experienced in running shops and a middle management experienced in running business, giving a good balance of experience and clear calm thinking.
We also as with any more tricky period have willowed out some of the less flexible dealers, business is very good if focused but if stuck with slightly out of fashion stock at the wrong price and an inability to change then never a good combination. Our current dealers are either fresh and keenly learning and by default adaptable or long serving dealers who have adapted through the years.
Cant wait to get out teeth into the new season, our Standholders and new staff are all keen, much fresh stock has been brought in over the Christmas period so we are well stocked.
